VFW Spring Fling Vendor & Craft Fair
Saturday
VFW Post 4801 in Pinedale is hosting a Spring Fling Vendor & Craft Fair on Saturday, March 20th from 10AM to 4PM. There will be lots of variety including items for Easter, little girls’ clothing, Easter chocolates, plants, and more from local crafters and vendors. There is no entry fee. A portion of the proceeds will go towards the VFW Veteran’s golf tournament in August. Tables for this fair are sold out, but they are thinking of doing another fair in April or May, so stay tuned. Pioneer Smokehouse will be onsite with ribs and pulled pork for lunch. For more information, call Pamela Cowling 307-349-3079

3rd Annual 307 Mountain Bash

From 6-9PM at the Sublette County Fairgrounds north of Big Piney/Marbleton. Sponsored by the LaBarge Activities Committee Association. Grand prize is a Wyoming Game and Fish Commissioner’s License. June 18 & 19, 2021
Midnight on the Mesa trail race
Friday & Saturday
Sponsored by Friends of PAC. This is a 12-hour trail running relay under the stars. Begins at midnight for first runner to take off. 4-person teams and goes to noon on Saturday. Complete as many laps on the 4-mile loop as possible in the 12-hour time period. Course takes runners to the top of Mount Airy with views of the Wind River Mountains onto the Mesa. Limited to 40 teams. Early registration until April 30 is $80/person. Late registration May 1-June 11 is $100/person. This event is a fundraiser for Friends of PAC. More info here

Surly Pika Adventure Race - Wind River Mountain Festival
Sunday
Adventure race during the Wind River Mountain Festival. Race is on Sunday. The Surly Pika is not a triathlon or a relay. It is an adventure race in the front-country of Wyoming’s largest mountain range, the Wind River Range. There are two initial race divisions to choose from: a 6-hour course and a 12-hour course. Within each course, teams of 2-3 will receive maps with pre-plotted checkpoints. Teams will make their way by bike, foot, and boat or pack raft through the course to find checkpoints. Routes are not predetermined-racers will choose their own way from checkpoint to checkpoint. Teams do not have to secure all checkpoints to finish the race-this allows experienced racers to be challenged and new racers to create a course within their abilities. 20: 2021 Daphne Platts Film Festival Free, Lovatt Room, Pinedale Library, 7PM. Second of four recently released award-winning movies being shown on Saturday evenings from March 13th until April 3rd. Tonight's movie is "Family Romance, LLC" . 7 pm. Children are not permitted unless accompanied by an adult. Refreshments will be provided in individual bags. Admission is free. 24: 4PM Deadline to file for Town of Big Piney Municipal election openings There are two four-year Council seats open. Applications can be picked up from the Town Clerk at Big Piney Town Hall. These are nonpartisan positions. Municipal officers must be qualified electors residing in the municipality. Big Piney municipal elections will be held on Tuesday, May 11th between 8AM to 7PM.

25: Lincoln County Senior Health District Act Town Hall Public meeting regarding a proposal for a 1 mill levy in Lincoln County to support the South Lincoln Nursing Center. 5:30-6:30PM at LaBarge Town Hall. Current Medicaid funding does not cover the cost of resident’s care. The difference is being subsidized by the South Lincoln Hospital District. This is the second of three public meetings in March (Kemmerer, LaBarge, Cokeville) to provide info and answer questions. 27: Virtual celebration to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ The Pinedale Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses invites the public to attend a special event every year to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ. Because of the pandemic, this event will be held virtually on Saturday, March 27, 2021. Anyone who would like details about attending the program can call or text 307-231-3499.
27: Concealed Weapons/Basic Firearms Safety Course The Sublette County Sheriff’s Office will be co-hosting a Concealed Weapons/Basic Firearms Safety Course to the public with Sublette BOCES in Pinedale on two different dates. 10: Sublette County Royalty Clinic For girls age 5-23 who are interested in learning what it takes to be part of the Rodeo Royalty team. Learn about the tryout process, ask questions and meet the previous Queen and Princesses. Learn what it takes to be royalty. We will be going through the entire tryout process where you can watch our previous Princesses and Queen demonstrate the horsemanship skills needed. We will be walking you through the interview, modeling, and speech portion of the competition as well. Ask questions to our panel of mock judges and get prepared for tryouts.
